Executive Summary

Roadmap Signals is a lightweight internal product intelligence tool for early-stage B2B SaaS teams. It captures customer feedback, runs it through a multi-step AI pipeline, scores recurring product signals, routes each signal to the right action type, and generates the PM artifact needed to move the issue forward.

The product is designed for a founder, solo PM, or first product hire at a 5 to 50 person SaaS company who receives feedback from scattered sources but has no mature system for turning that input into product decisions. It stores feedback persistently, identifies patterns over time, and closes the loop from signal to artifact to status tracking to weekly planning memo.

This PRD documents the problem, competitive context, product decisions, pipeline design, scoring rubric, routing logic, artifact specifications, data model, success metrics, and v2 roadmap.

1. Background

Early-stage product teams hear customer feedback constantly. Support tickets, sales notes, churn interviews, surveys, and customer calls all surface real signal. The challenge is that feedback arrives scattered across different tools and conversations, and there is no repeatable system for turning it into prioritized product action.

I built Roadmap Signals after identifying a gap between what support tools do (resolve individual tickets) and what product teams actually need (understand recurring patterns, prioritize by evidence, and decide what to do next). The core insight is that the problem is not feedback collection. It is the workflow from feedback to action.

The project also served as a deliberate portfolio choice to demonstrate B2B workflow thinking, AI pipeline design, and end-to-end product execution beyond the consumer tools already in my portfolio.

2. Problem and Goals

Problem statement

Early-stage SaaS teams receive customer feedback continuously across scattered channels but lack a repeatable workflow to turn that feedback into prioritized product actions and track whether those actions resolved the issue.
